Many nights in Yosemite your view of the sunset is obscured by steep granite walls, late afternoon clouds or thick forests.  On those summer nights when you are on the south rim of the Valley, or at an appropriate location in the high country, you may be fortunate enough to glimpse a bit of color through the trees.
