Lukens Lake Early Summer Morning

This placid lake about 1 mile walk from Tioga Road near the turn-off to the White Wolf Campground is sheltered by a ring of pine trees. In late summer the meadow and the wildflowers are spectacular.

A great spot to have lunch and relax, Lukens is not the best place to go swimming due to the grassy shoreline and few good entry points. Crowded at times on weekends, Lukens Lake is best enjoyed on a weekday morning when there are few people and the serene setting can best be appreciated..
