We entered Yosemite National Park from Hwy 120 on the east side and drove carefully up and over Tioga Pass.  This time of year with the snow still melting the canyon walls are very unstable and there was evidence of rock slides all along the side of the road.

The view as you begin the approach to Tioga Pass near Lee Vining.

Shortly after entering the park at Tioga Pass we encountered this view.

Looking west across Tuolomne Meadows, the water was much deeper when
we left the park on 6/23 due to the high daytime temperatures and rapid snowmelt.
Note how perfect the reflection of the mountains is in the water in the meadow.
