These pictures were taken on February 2, 2007.  Pete King and I hiked about 2500 vertical feet up to the ridge line above Incline Village, eventually making our way to Rose Knob.  We then traversed the ridge to Mt. Baldy before descending.  It was an amazing day for February, crystal clear, sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and no wind until we hit the higher parts of the ridge and the peaks themselves.

Please be patient while the pictures load.

Don near the start of the trip, the snow increased as we ascended.

1800 vertical feet above where we started, you come out of the trees and boulders to this ridge.
Our destination, Rose Knob is in the distance.
