Tanechka Falls

This seasonal waterfall is visible only in early Spring from the Bridlepath Trail which is found along the south side of Tenaya Creek.  You need to stay on the trail about 1/2 mile past Mirror Lake to see Tanechka Falls. 

If you hike around the entire loop beginning at the Mirror Lake bus stop, you will be treated to other small waterfalls that few visitors ever see.  To avoid the crowds going up the paved road, when you get off the bus, take the dirt trail across Tenaya Creek instead of the paved road.  Plan on a 2 to 3 hour leisurely stroll that will take you over 2 short bridges and past the junction to Snow Creek Falls trail as you circle back to Mirror Lake and civilization.
