WILDLIFE

Yosemite is characterized by its diverse wildlife that spans all altitudes of the park.  Many of the finest creatures are elusive and you can spend years visiting the park and never see a bear or a coyote.  On the other hand, you may be one of the unlucky ones who has their car broken into by a bear in search of food, and you'll get a close up view of these beautiful creatures in action.  Try not to become a statistic, the bears only want your food, they don't want you.  But they will go through you in an attempt to get your food.  Don't be a hero, just be careful and enjoy all the inhabitants with whom you share the park.
